Our youth experiences extreme competition from a very early age, sometimes even before they have the ability to think for themselves. Preschools today have requirements, primary and secondary schools are becoming more and more exclusive and before they know it they are competing in a brutal world simply to be able to survive. Our youth are trying so hard to be ready for today, but how many of them look at tomorrow. We have seen that many young people find themselves studying for something because it will offer a great career but when they complete their studies they find themselves at the end of a very long unemployment line.
Our projects aims to look at these problems, especially focusing on the educational choices that youth have, and more specifically the process and methods used by youth to decide what they will study. We hope to be able to give them the incite to be able to research the employment market either in their country or in the country they wish to work in, before they choose a study path so that they can maximise their chances of finding employment after they complete their studies. We will look at future jobs, and how these might interest youth, and we will compare global markets to European markets, take trends of stronger countries and see how our own countries are following these trends.
