Participants per country (incl. leaders): 6 (5 participants from 18 to 30 y/o) + 1 leader any age above 18y/o)

Project Description:

The initiative and idea of “EGO VS ECO” originated from young proactive people who want to emphasize the importance of existing worldwide pollution issues and develop pro-environmental behaviour amongst their peers to reduce harmful actions both in their community and globally. Together with step by step, we aim to change the current threat from pollution to a solution. The Objectives of the project:
v Explore, experience and express unconventional ideas that would increase awareness of environmental pollution within a group of 42 young people using informal learning methods;
v Raise curiosity about environment protection;
v Evaluate how an individual can impact the environment with his/her daily actions;
v Improve solidarity and intercultural dialogue;
v Experience 7 specific activities: Hiking, creation of motivational videos, treasure hunting, diving or snorkelling, flash mobbing, greening and recycling;
v Increase the engagement of the active European citizens;
v Include young people with fewer opportunities (economic, educational, social difficulties, from isolated areas)

Important Information:

- Participants will need to cover costs for covid tests - pre/during/after project implementation.

- The Hosting Organisation in Madeira will update us more about travelling rules to Madeira Island on the 15th of April 2021

- No quarantine for negative PCR test in Portugal.
