Europe for Citizens

The Europe for Citizens program is an EU initiative that aims to foster European citizenship and encourage active participation in the democratic life of the EU. The program provides funding for a range of activities that promote knowledge of and participation in EU affairs, as well as support for active citizenship and remembrance of the EU's shared history. The program has two main strands:

  1. "European Remembrance" - supports projects that focus on the preservation and promotion of the shared cultural and historical heritage of the EU.

  2. "Democratic engagement and civic participation" - supports projects that promote active participation in the democratic life of the EU and foster a sense of European citizenship.

Activities supported under the program can include seminars, workshops, conferences, exhibitions, and other forms of civic education and awareness-raising. The program is open to a wide range of organizations, including civil society organizations, local authorities, and educational institutions. The aim of the program is to foster a sense of European identity, promote active citizenship, and support the democratic values and principles of the EU.
